Featured Speaker for September 10th Meeting: Gary Goforth Rotary Foundation 101 Join us this week as fellow Rotarian Gary Goforth gives an introduction to the Rotary Foundation. Gary has served as Global Grants Chair and District Rotary Foundation Chair in District 7750 (Upstate South Carolina). He has helped develop multiple global grants in Honduras and India that focused on providing clean water and better healthcare facilities. Gary's presentation will cover the basics of The Rotary Foundation (TRF), including its history, Rotary’s 6 Areas of Focus, how humanitarian grants are funded, and recognition for individual Rotarians and districts. Featured Speaker for September 17th Meeting: Kacie Hass Director of Operations - Foster Village SWFL Kacie has grown up in Southwest Florida, spending 35 years of her life in Cape Coral. She has deep ties and roots to this local community and is married to her best friend and Fort Myers firefighter/EMT, Tanner Hass. They have three beautiful children and are actively involved at Christian Life Fellowship Church. Kacie is the founder of the nonprofit Hearten Inc. which merged with Foster Village SWFL in June 2024. The heart of Hearten, and of Kacie, is to recognize and celebrate the inherent worth of every child no matter their circumstances. She believes in standing in the gap for our vulnerable community members, providing support and spreading joy during times of hardship.
