Bernie Campau

- Mr. Campau is currently an Air Traffic Contol Specialist (ATCS) at Page Field (FMY).
- He has 36 years of experience with multiple ratings including 10 Air Traffic Control Towers, Airport Traffic Control Water-lane Operations, Approach Control, Air Route Traffic Control Center, Oceanic and Non-Radar Approach Control, Military Air Traffic Control Tower and Approach Control, GCA and RFC.
- Mr. Campau is a training administrator and responsible for quality control.
- He is also a project Manager, DTW Tower Simulation development field service representative.
Rossano Costa
Training Representative for TFDM (Terminal Flight Data Management) Program.
Terminal Flight Data Management
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (2001)
- In 2008, Mr. Costa completed FAA Academy training. Shortly thereafter, he moved to Fort Myers, where he was certified in the tower in 2012.
- In 2013 he joined the RSW Executive Board as the Union President and remained in that role until October 2020. While in that role, he liaised with others on the roll-out of the new STARS (Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System) equipment.
- After a successful launch of STARS, he was selected as a part-time subject matter expert in the STARS Program to help deploy the equipment and conduct training to other facilities nationwide.
- In 2020, became a full-time Training Representative for TFDM (Terminal Flight Data Management) Program. TFDM is a new technology that has not been deployed and is being built to support expansion of Nextgen. He is currently supporting training at 89 facilities nationwide.
