Her own family’s story of challenges and redemption inspired Rose’s career path. She earned an undergraduate degree in psychology and a master’s degree in human services counseling, both from Liberty University. She then worked more than 13 years in social services before establishing Better Together in 2015. With the help of volunteers and church communities, the organization’s families program helps parents build lasting support systems to help overcome hardships like job loss, addiction, homelessness, medical emergencies, and incarceration. He traded in high-tech internet connectivity sales for low-tech mulch and horticultural supply sales in 2003 and has not looked back. Being enamored with all things green and growing, Bob became an FNGLA Certified Horticulture Professional in 2004 (The Year of Hurricane Charlie) and an ISA Certified Arborist in 2006. Bob has held several green industry sales and service-related titles including, Plant buyer, Horticulturalist, Account Manager and most recently Senior Business Development Manager for Down To Earth. Featured Speaker for January 17th Meeting: Stan Nelson & Shari Clark Update on Pine Manor Stan Nelson is the Planning and Research Director for the Lee County Sheriff’s Department. Currently, he serves as the president of the board of directors of the Pine Manor Improvement Association. Stan is an incredibly talented grant writer. Shari Clark is a US Army veteran who served in the Gulf War. When she left the military, she moved to Ft. Myers to be with her mother in her final months. She worked for Arizona Beverages. When they closed their operations here, Shari went to the Pine Manor Community Center to apply for unemployment and use the computers to search for jobs. She volunteered to help others with job searches. Her skills soon led to being hired as a part-time Outreach Coordinator. Prior to his current position, Todd spent many years managing large scale communities with resort-style amenities after he spent the first half of his career turning around distressed restaurants. Todd holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Western Michigan University and has earned the CMCA and AMS designations from the Community Association Institute (CAI). Volunteerism has been very important to Todd. He has served on several boards and committees to facilitate business growth in his community and has worked to provide resources for the food and housing challenged populations. Featured Speaker for October 18th Meeting: Dr. Kevin Reynolds, DPT Fitness Quest Physical Therapy Dr. Kevin Reynolds is a native Floridian born in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Kevin attended Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL where he obtained a Bachelors of Science in Biology degree. While attending NSU he was a member of the baseball team and sustained a knee injury, opening his eyes to the world of physical therapy. Kevin had a successful surgery/rehabilitation process and was able to return to athletics at a high competitive level. Kevin then went on to attend the University of Hartford in Hartford, CT where he earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. After graduating, he returned to Florida and began his career in outpatient orthopedics.
