Great day for three Fort Myers Rotary Clubs, in partnership with our District and the Rotary Foundation.
The Lee Association for Remarkable Citizens needed a van. They REALLY needed a van. Ian Keith said folks….let’s get them a van! Dan Russell said oh yeah, let’s do it. John McGowan said get rolling. Great project. Kerri Goldsmith said hey, the South Club is all in. An anonymous donor closed a $1,000 hole and what do you know, a 15 passenger van appeared. Thank you to the Sunrise, South and Downtown Clubs for partnering to raise $15,000 toward the purchase of this $30,000 van. Thank you Sam Galloway Ford for making the purchase possible with not a sharp pencil, but taking a hatchet to the price. Thank you to District 6960 for your hours of work to coordinate matching funds.
Most of all, thank you to LARC, your incredible staff and clients for the work you to in the community. You are the front line. You are the folks that get the work done. We are just happy to help, and admire you for the work you do to help the remarkable citizens of Lee County lead a better life.
