Kevin attended Brooklyn College as a political Science major for 2 years and enlisted in Navy February 2nd, 1976. He retired September 5th, 2005. Kevin worked at Alamo/National Car Rental for 12 years as Sales Manager. In December of 2008, he was asked if he could help as finance Officer and in 2009 was elected as Post Commander. During this period, Kevin served on the American Red Cross board for 9 years, the Police Athletic League (PAL) for 13 years, River District Alliance for 11 years and the last 8 years as Chairman of the Board for RDA. Featured Speaker for December 6th Meeting: Todd Chwatun Regional Director - Castle Group Todd Chwatun is a Regional Director for Castle Group, a Florida-based property management company specializing in luxury high-rise communities, large scale communities, self-managed communities, communities in development, and rental management. Prior to his current position, Todd spent many years managing large scale communities with resort-style amenities after he spent the first half of his career turning around distressed restaurants. Todd holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Western Michigan University and has earned the CMCA and AMS designations from the Community Association Institute (CAI). Volunteerism has been very important to Todd. He has served on several boards and committees to facilitate business growth in his community and has worked to provide resources for the food and housing challenged populations. Todd and his wife relocated to Naples, Florida from Michigan in 2020 and hopes to never shovel snow again. [...]

He served as Junior Minister of the Environment, as well as Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs and National Defence. Bryon holds a Master of Arts in Political Economy (U of T), Institute of Corporate Directors designation (ICD.D) (U of T – Rotman School). He was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun – Gold/Silver Star from His Imperial Majesty and the Prime Minister of Japan for his tireless work on Canada/Japan relations. Featured Speaker for January 17th Meeting: Stan Nelson & Shari Clark Update on Pine Manor Stan Nelson is the Planning and Research Director for the Lee County Sheriff’s Department. Currently, he serves as the president of the board of directors of the Pine Manor Improvement Association. Stan is an incredibly talented grant writer. Shari Clark is a US Army veteran who served in the Gulf War. When she left the military, she moved to Ft. Myers to be with her mother in her final months. She worked for Arizona Beverages. When they closed their operations here, Shari went to the Pine Manor Community Center to apply for unemployment and use the computers to search for jobs. She volunteered to help others with job searches. Her skills soon led to being hired as a part-time Outreach Coordinator. He traded in high-tech internet connectivity sales for low-tech mulch and horticultural supply sales in 2003 and has not looked back. Being enamored with all things green and growing, Bob became an FNGLA Certified Horticulture Professional in 2004 (The Year of Hurricane Charlie) and an ISA Certified Arborist in 2006. Featured Speaker for February 7th Meeting: Megan Rose CEO - Better Together Megan Rose is the CEO of Better Together, a nonprofit that helps parents who are going through a difficult time keep their kids out of foster care, find work and address the root causes of their struggle so that they can reunite as a family with the tools and support system to thrive. Her own family’s story of challenges and redemption inspired Rose’s career path. She earned an undergraduate degree in psychology and a master’s degree in human services counseling, both from Liberty University. She then worked more than 13 years in social services before establishing Better Together in 2015.
