DESCRIPTION:Featured Speaker for January 18th Meeting:Dilman Thomas\nExecutive Director\nDilman Thomas is the former Executive Director of the Horizon Foundation\, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization\, which works in partnership with the Horizon Council and the Lee County Economic Development Office (EDO). \nHe has been in SW Florida for over 30 years and has served as a Senior Vice President for SunTrust Bank\, Retail Banking\, Regional President for Encore Bank\, and Executive Vice President and General Manager for Oswald\, Trippe and Company\, and now McGriff Insurance. \nPrior to coming to SW Florida\, he served in a similar role with Pioneer Savings Bank\, managing 27 offices from Springhill to Marco Island. \nCommunity Service has been an integral part of his life\, serving in the following roles in SW Florida: \nCampaign and Board Chair of the United Way \nFounding Chair of the Housing Development Corporation\, building affordable housing in Lee County \nChair of Jr. Achievement of SW Florida \nChair of the Nations Association \nPast President of the Rotary Club of Fort Myers – Sunrise \nBoard Member and Treasurer of the Quality Life Center \nPast Chair of the FSW Foundation\, Lee County \nBoard Member\, The Chamber of SW Florida \nGraduate of Leadership Pinellas and Leadership Lee County \nDilman lives in Lee County with his wife\, Diane\, and has two children and four grandchildren.
