Featured Speakers for November 5th Meeting: Colin Hargis & David Deiros FGCU Athletics Colin Hargis - Director of Athletics Colin Hargis was named Florida Gulf Coast University’s Director of Intercollegiate Athletics in March 2024. He brings two decades of Division I experience, including 15 years at North Carolina State University. At NC State, Hargis rose to Senior Associate AD for External Relations, leading revenue-generating initiatives that brought in over $27 million annually. Under his leadership, the department set records in revenue growth, including a 327% increase in women’s basketball and 15% in men’s basketball. He also oversaw the school’s multimedia rights partnership with Learfield and led NIL efforts, creating a dedicated NIL position and student-athlete programming.
