Heidi Webb – CEO
Heidi joined Kimmie’s Recovery Zone as a volunteer and Board Vice President in 2019. She became the Chief Executive Officer in 2022. Heidi spent 32 years as a Paralegal, many of which were spent in family law and also working with those charged with offenses surrounding substance misuse. She worked as a Trial Assistant and was the law office manager for 12 of those years. She also served for 4 years as a Township Committeewoman. Her career began after obtaining a B.A. in Human Services and an A.A.S. in Paralegal Studies. During her study, she was the President of the Legal Assistants’ Association and member of an AD HOC Committee. She also received a Distinguished Service Award for public speaking to youth on the importance of education.
After undergraduate school, Heidi took the LSATs and applied to law schools. Although she was accepted to law school, she decided to pursue another passion – helping individuals and the community to prevent the onset of substance use disorders and help those working toward recovery. She began working for a drug and alcohol treatment center in hope of assisting individuals better transition into daily life upon release. She then became a Drug and Alcohol Prevention Specialist for middle and high school children. She also volunteered in two separate correctional facilities’ Women’s Substance Abuse Treatment Programs. She is also affiliated with many of the local and county social service organizations.
Heidi has since earned numerous credits and certifications within the behavioral health, substance use disorder and prevention field, including Mental Health First Aid, Recovery Ambassador Training, courses to improve family relationships, lifeskills, the connection between trauma and substance use disorders, many courses in applying science to practice to reduce substance use, overdose prevention and Naloxone training, trainer of trainers for evidence-based programs, leader training, recovery leadership, and many workshops on developing a Recovery Community Organization. As a person in long-term recovery, she believes it is essential to bridge the gap between clinical care and for aftercare for those that need peer support and other assistance. Using her skills, education, professional, and personal experiences to help advocate, educate, reduce stigma, and help those to recover is her main priority and passion. Heidi is extremely grateful to be involved with Kimmie’s Recovery Zone, a non-profit Recovery Community Organization. Outside of her employment with Kimmie’s Recovery Zone and other endeavors, Heidi enjoys her family, friends, puppies, and passion for photography. During an exploratory and transitional phase after leaving the legal profession, Heidi pursued her desire to learn photography by enrolling in a community college certificate program. She loved it so much, she furthered her education in digital photography and Photoshop. Heidi became a professional photographer with her own licensed and insured company, with gallery showings. Just prior to this transitional time she also owned and operated a sunglass business while designing styles for manufacturing – the thought was to have fun while earning and raising money to donate proceeds to a designated non-profit organization.
At this time, Heidi looks forward to helping expand the services provided by Kimmie’s Recovery Zone and the reach within and outside of the community to help save and change lives and to create a positive impact.
