Featured Speaker for March 6th Meeting: Kay Peterson Off the Bike Path: A Minnesotan's Guide Catherine (Kay) Peterson was born and raised in a town of 25,000 in the southeast corner of Minnesota called Winona.  She lives there still today. She has two sisters- Liz Christie and Kim Allison- and one nephew, Wyatt Allison.  (Fun fact- Kay was named after Catherine the Great, Liz was named after Queen Elizabeth, and Kim was named after the Kimberly Diamond Mine!). Kay went to college at Minnesota State University, Mankato and enjoyed her last semester studying in New Zealand. Kay has been Client Services Coordinator at a non-profit called Winona Volunteer Services since 2005, where every day she helps meet the basic needs of those who are struggling.  She became a Detroit Lions fan in 2017 and was a Master Gardener for 10 years. Featured Speaker for February 28th Meeting: Greg Adams Retired Immigration Law Attorney Until his retirement at the end of 2022, Greg Adams practiced employment-based immigration law and worksite compliance for over 40 years. Following 10 years as an attorney in Connecticut and then Massachusetts, Greg relocated to Ohio where he headed up the business immigration law practices at a regional law firm for 15 years and then at a national law firm for the remainder of his career.  His clients ranged from domestic and international business of all sizes to high tech industry leaders, professional sports franchises, performing arts companies, research organizations, and higher educational institutions. He also served as bar association representative to the U.S. immigration agency, taught immigration law at the law school level, was a regular speaker and author on immigration law topics, and edited the annually published Immigration and Nationality Law Handbook series. He traded in high-tech internet connectivity sales for low-tech mulch and horticultural supply sales in 2003 and has not looked back. Being enamored with all things green and growing, Bob became an FNGLA Certified Horticulture Professional in 2004 (The Year of Hurricane Charlie) and an ISA Certified Arborist in 2006. Bob has held several green industry sales and service-related titles including, Plant buyer, Horticulturalist, Account Manager and most recently Senior Business Development Manager for Down To Earth. Currently, he serves as the president of the board of directors of the Pine Manor Improvement Association. Stan is an incredibly talented grant writer. Shari Clark is a US Army veteran who served in the Gulf War. When she left the military, she moved to Ft. Myers to be with her mother in her final months. She worked for Arizona Beverages. When they closed their operations here, Shari went to the Pine Manor Community Center to apply for unemployment and use the computers to search for jobs. She volunteered to help others with job searches. Her skills soon led to being hired as a part-time Outreach Coordinator. She accepted the position of Executive Director for The CART Fund in May 2022, after serving on the board as VP of Public Image for 4 years. She is past president of the Four Seasons Rotary Club in Hendersonville, NC, and a Paul Harris Fellow +4.  She has served Rotary District 7670 (WNC) as District Secretary, Public Image Chair, Membership Chair, District Conference Chair (six times), and Assistant Governor, and she was District Governor in 2019-2020.  She was selected to represent her district at the RI Council on Legislation 2023-26.
