In his retirement, Uncle Al manages and raises several thousand hogs on farms in Iowa. Part of the Hog operation is having hogs raised on an Amish farm, which has allowed Uncle Al to develop a close relationship with Joseph Borndrrager, his family, and their Amish lifestyle.
